From Llandovery, you have access to four distinct coastal zones. Pick the one that matches your mood.

1. The Wild Coves (Ceredigion Heritage Coast)

  • Mwnt (1hr 15m): A National Trust gem. A perfect rectangular cove guarded by a conical hill. Steep steps keep the crowds away.
  • Poppit Sands (1hr 15m): A vast, dune-backed beach at the mouth of the Teifi Estuary. Great for dog walkers.

2. The Vast Sands (Carmarthenshire)

  • Llansteffan (50 mins): The closest coast to us. Sits under a ruined castle. Perfect for picnics.
  • Pendine Sands (55 mins): Famous for land speed records. Seven miles of hard-packed sand where you can drive your car onto the beach.

3. The Classic Resorts (Pembrokeshire)

  • Saundersfoot (1hr 15m): Compact and full of good restaurants, ideal for families with toddlers.
  • Tenby (1hr 20m+): The icon of Wales with its pastel houses. Beautiful but busy—arrive early!
