Welsh National Sheepdog Trials 2026

Dates: August 13th – 15th, 2026
Location: Senni, Defynnog (20 mins from Brecon Oak).
A Major Event: The National Trials move location every year, and in 2026 they return to our doorstep. This is a qualifying event for the International team. It is a sport of silence and precision, testing the top 150 dogs in Wales on rugged upland terrain.

Llandovery Sheep Festival (Demos)

Date: Late September 2026
For a more casual introduction, the Sheep Festival in town features Sheepdog Demonstrations. These are designed for entertainment, explaining the commands and skills in a way that is perfect for the whole family.

Babel Agility Shows (Trecastle)

Location: Fedw Equestrian Centre (10 mins).
Fast, loud, and athletic. These indoor shows run through the winter and allow you to see dogs navigating obstacle courses at speed.
