Perched on a limestone precipice, Carreg Cennen is one of the most dramatic castles in Wales. In late July, the site hosts a 'Living History' weekend. Actors in period costume bring the 13th-century fortress to life with combat demonstrations, archery displays, and insights into medieval medicine and cooking. After exploring the ruins and the famous natural cave beneath the castle, enjoy a coffee at the farm shop café at the base of the hill.
