1. The Llandeilo Antiques & Vintage Fair

Llandeilo is renowned for its independent boutiques and colourful streets, and the monthly Antiques Fair is the jewel in its crown. Held in the heart of the town, this fair features a curated selection of Welsh pottery, vintage jewellery, mid-century furniture, and rare books. It is the perfect place to find a unique souvenir of your Welsh holiday before enjoying lunch at one of the town’s award-winning gastropubs.

2. The Towy Valley Vintage Club Show

Date: 11th – 12th July 2026 Location: Cothi Bridge Showground, Nantgaredig, SA32 7NG Distance from Brecon Oak: Approximately 20 miles (30-minute drive)

A true celebration of mechanical nostalgia, the Towy Valley Vintage Show is one of the premier rallies in West Wales. Visitors can marvel at beautifully restored steam engines, vintage tractors, classic cars, and stationary engines. The event is a fantastic family day out, featuring trade stands, a craft marquee, and demonstrations of traditional rural skills that have shaped the Carmarthenshire landscape for centuries.

3. The Great Glasshouse Artisan Market

Set within the world’s largest single-span glasshouse, this artisan market showcases the very best of Welsh craftsmanship. As you wander through the Mediterranean plant collections, you can browse stalls offering handmade textiles, botanical art, local honey, and handcrafted woodwork. Your entry fee to the market also includes access to the full gardens, including the British Bird of Prey Centre and the restored Regency landscape.

4. Brecon Beacons Summer Foraging & Wild Food Walk

Date: Saturday, 18th July 2026 Location: Mynydd Illtyd Common / Libanus, LD3 8ER Distance from Brecon Oak: Approximately 22 miles (35-minute drive)

July is a peak month for the wild larder of the Brecon Beacons. Join local experts for a guided walk across the commons near Libanus. You will learn to identify summer berries, edible greens, and medicinal herbs while taking in panoramic views of the Pen y Fan peaks. These sessions usually conclude with a tasting of wild-infused treats, providing a unique way to 'taste' the landscape of Mid Wales.
