1. The Whole Earth Man v Horse Marathon

Llanwrtyd Wells, the UK’s smallest town, plays host to the annual Man v Horse race, where hundreds of runners attempt to outpace riders on horseback over 22 miles of rugged terrain. Even if you aren't competing, the atmosphere in the town is electric, with local food stalls, live music, and a celebratory spirit that is quintessentially Welsh.
2. Summer Solstice Stargazing at the Visitor Centre

Celebrate the longest day of the year in the heart of the Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve. 3. The Carmarthenshire County Show

A true celebration of rural life, the Carmarthenshire County Show is the perfect family day out. It is a fantastic opportunity to stock up on local delicacies to enjoy back at Brecon Oak.
4. Myddfai Farmers Market & Craft Fair

For a more intimate local experience, head to the neighbouring village of Myddfai. Known for the legend of the Physicians of Myddfai, this village hosts a wonderful monthly market. You will find local honey, handmade herbal remedies, and unique crafts produced by residents of the Towy Valley. It is an excellent spot for a morning browse before heading out for a walk through the surrounding woodland.
