Scenic Road Cycling Route

If you prefer a friendly atmosphere over the corporate scale of the Dragon Ride, the "Devil" sportives organised by local experts Drover Cycles are for you. They are famous for their community feel, local knowledge of quiet backroads, and excellent feed stations.

Brecon Beacons Devil

  • Date: Sunday, August 17, 2026 (Projected).
  • The Route: Starting from Hay-on-Wye, this loop circles the central Beacons, skirting the Usk Reservoir and the edge of our Llandovery area. It avoids the busy main roads in favour of scenic country lanes.

Herefordshire Devil

  • Date: Early October 2026.
  • The Route: A season closer that tackles the rolling terrain north of the Black Mountains. Less severe than the Beacons edition, but still a solid test of endurance.
