The Welsh name for Llandovery is "Llanymddyfri," which translates to "Church amidst the waters." It is a clue that our weather can be unpredictable! However, a rainy day is no reason to stay indoors.

The National Showcaves Centre for Wales (Dan yr Ogof)

Located 35 minutes south, this is a massive cave system with three separate caves to explore. The scale of the stalactites and rock formations is awe-inspiring.

The site also features an outdoor Dinosaur Park with over 200 life-sized models, and an indoor museum. It is easily a full day out for the family.
