The National Botanic Garden of Wales

National Botanic Garden of Wales

Located in Llanarthne (25 minutes west), this is more than just a garden; it is a modern scientific institution and a fantastic day out.

The Great Glasshouse

Designed by Lord Norman Foster, the Great Glasshouse is an architectural marvel. It is the largest single-span glasshouse in the world. Inside, you will find a Mediterranean climate zone, protecting endangered plants from Australia, South Africa, and Chile. It is the perfect place to warm up on a rainy Welsh afternoon.

British Bird of Prey Centre

Located within the gardens is the British Bird of Prey Centre. They offer incredible flying displays where you can watch eagles, red kites, and owls soar just feet above your head.

(Note: Entry to the Bird of Prey Centre may carry an additional cost or be included in specific tickets; please check their website for the latest details).
